Finding the perfect accommodations is so important. It can literally mean the difference between a decent stay and an extraordinary experience. Bangkok has so many great hotels to choose from, but when you narrow it down to top luxury properties, there is really only a handful to choose from. Near the top of the list are the Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental. Both are beautiful hotels with fantastic service. Both hotels are also very large and each have close to 400 rooms/suites and several restaurants and pools. If you prefer larger hotels these are the two best choices we found in that category. Surprisingly, in an urban city such as Bangkok there were not a lot of luxury boutique hotel options. There had to be something smaller and more boutique, where you would feel at home but still pampered its guests with a true 5 star luxury experience. This is when digging and digging comes in very handy. Finally, while perusing Pinterest for more options/ideas, in front of me pops The Siam. Two sentences into this article about the hotel and I WAS SOLD!!! That’s where we had to stay during our three nights in Bangkok. I inquired about this hotel choice of mine, with my friend that lives in Bangkok, and she said “oh yes, The Siam is the best, you will love it there.” Done!!
It’s hard to describe in words just how fabulous The Siam really is. It’s an exclusive, stylish escape, located on the Chao Praya River, Bangkok’s main waterway, in the historic Dusit district. The Siam is so much more than a hotel. It’s a magical experience in and of itself. From the moment you enter, you get the feeling The Siam was created for the uber-chic and sophisticated traveler. To say that the design and decor of The Siam is spectacular, is selling it short.
Ok, let’s talk about the food at The Siam. Everything we had there, be it, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, was amazingly delicious.
